Counselling Fees
Individual Session
£60
50 minutes
Individual counselling sessions are £60 and last 50 minutes.
I usually recommend beginning with an initial session so that we can meet, explore what has brought you to counselling and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
If you decide to continue, sessions will usually take place weekly.
There is no set number of sessions that you must attend. Counselling can be short or longer term depending on your circumstances, what you would like to explore and what feels most helpful for you.
Six-session Block
£324
6 × 50-minute sessions
Some people prefer the flexibility of paying for each counselling session individually, while others find it helpful to commit to a block of sessions.
A block of six counselling sessions is available for £324, giving you a 10% saving of £36.
Paying for a block can provide a sense of continuity and commitment to the process, while still allowing the work to develop at your own pace.
FEES & SESSIONS
Simple, transparent counselling fees
I aim to keep the process of starting counselling as straightforward as possible.
Sessions are available face-to-face in central Cheltenham and online across the UK, with both short-term and longer-term counselling available depending on your needs.
Concessionary spaces
I hold a small number of reduced-fee counselling spaces for counselling students and people on a low income. I understand that affordability can be an important consideration when deciding whether to begin counselling.
Availability is limited, so please feel welcome to get in touch if you would like to ask whether a concessionary space is currently available.
COUNSELLING IN CHELTENHAM
Face-to-face sessions
In-person counselling takes place in a calm and welcoming therapy room in central Cheltenham.
The location is convenient for central Cheltenham and is close to public transport and parking.
Having a dedicated space away from everyday life can give you the opportunity to pause, reflect and focus entirely on yourself for the duration of the session.
COUNSELLING ACROSS THE UK
Online sessions
If attending in person isn’t practical, I also offer counselling online.
Online sessions last the same 50 minutes and provide the same confidential, supportive therapeutic relationship as face-to-face counselling.
They can be a convenient option if you live outside Cheltenham, travel regularly or simply feel more comfortable talking from your own space.
All you need is somewhere quiet and private where you can speak without interruption.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your first session
Our first counselling session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another.
We can talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping to gain from counselling and anything you would like me to know about your current situation.
There is no pressure to arrive with everything worked out.
You may know exactly what you want to talk about, or you may simply know that something doesn’t feel right. Either is completely okay.
The first session also gives you an opportunity to experience how I work and decide whether you feel comfortable continuing.
ONGOING COUNSELLING
Regular counselling sessions
If you decide to continue, we will usually meet at the same time each week for a 50-minute session.
There is no fixed limit on the number of sessions you can have.
Some people find that a relatively short period of counselling is enough to explore a particular issue, while others value having a longer period of support.
We will regularly check in with how the sessions are feeling and whether the work continues to meet your needs.
When you feel ready to end counselling, we can talk about this together and work towards an ending that feels comfortable and considered.
