FAQ's

  • Where is your counselling practice based in Cheltenham? I provide counselling in Cheltenham Town Centre, offering a private and comfortable therapy space in central Cheltenham. My counselling room is easily accessible from across Cheltenham and Gloucestershire, with nearby parking and public transport links.

  • Do you offer online counselling in Cheltenham? Yes, I offer both face-to-face counselling in Cheltenham, including telephone and online counselling sessions across the UK. Online therapy is ideal if you are unable to attend in person or prefer the flexibility of remote support.

  • What happens in your first counselling session? The first counselling session in Cheltenham is an initial consultation where we get to know each other. I will ask about what has brought you to therapy and what you would like support with, such as anxiety, stress, or personal challenges. This session helps you decide if my counselling approach is right for you.

  • How often are counselling sessions? Counselling sessions usually take place weekly at the same time each week. Regular weekly counselling in Cheltenham provides consistency, helping you build trust and make progress over time. However, fortnightly sessions can also be possible.

  • How long is a counselling session? Each counselling session lasts 50 minutes. This is the standard length for professional therapy sessions in Cheltenham and across the UK.

  • How many counselling sessions will I need? There is no fixed number of counselling sessions. I offer open-ended counselling in Cheltenham, meaning sessions can be short-term or long-term depending on your needs. We will regularly review your progress and decide together when you feel ready to end therapy.

  • Do you offer short-term or long-term counselling in Cheltenham?I offer both short-term counselling and long-term therapy in Cheltenham. Short-term counselling can help with specific issues, while long-term therapy allows for deeper exploration and ongoing emotional support.

The first session

Our first appointment is a chance for us to get to know each other. During this session, I'll also get a better understanding of what you're seeking from therapy, ensuring that I am the right person to support you.

Regular Therapy Sessions

If you decide to proceed, we will typically meet at the same time each week for a 50 minute session. There is no cap on how many sessions you can have. I will regularly check in with how you feel things are going and support you when you feel ready to close the sessions. Therapy is open-ended, meaning it can be either long-term or short-term, depending on your individual needs. All sessions take place in my dedicated therapy room in Cheltenham Town Centre, conveniently located near public transport and parking.
